Your wedding day is one of the biggest days of your life, but it’s also one of the busiest. It’s true when brides say that it’s over in the blink of an eye, so it isn’t surprising that when it comes to photography, couples want every angle of their wedding day covered.
While it’s easy to remember photos such as group shots, or that first dance, there are so many elements throughout the day that it can be easy to forget about. And it’s these shots which couples always love the most. It’s those things that could easily be forgotten about, which actually make up such a big (and often sentimental) part of a wedding.
So with this in mind, to make sure that you don’t miss a tick, I’ve compiled a list of those easy to forget, but essential wedding day photos.
Accessories
While obviously there will be tons of photos showing you wearing your accessories, showcasing them in their boxes is a shot that brides love. So much thought has gone into finding finishing touches to complement your dress so it’s only right that they should be admired in all their glory.
Putting on the dress
Getting into your dress is an experience. Often it comes with emotions as the realisation hits the bride that she’s getting married in a mere matter of minutes. This is a nice shot to capture with the bride or bridesmaids helping you into it.
Chilling with your bridesmaids
The morning of the wedding is probably one of the few occasions in your lifetime that this group of people will all be together, so I love photographing this. Whether it’s enjoying a chilled glass of Prosecco, or laughing together, it’s lovely to photograph this atmosphere.
Groom getting ready
Yes, believe it or not, the groom getting is important. Some couples choose to skip this and it often comes with regret. The main reason for these photos is that this will be the only time of the day when you’re apart so it’s great to see what your other half got up to. And just like yours, his accessories are important too.
Walk to the ceremony
Oh the nerves! Filled with so much emotion, this is another essential photo on my list.
Ceremony details
Obviously there’s the first look, exchanging of rings and the newlywed kiss, but there’s so much more that goes into a ceremony. Those little glances, moments of sheer joy and guests’ reactions are all part of the ceremony.
Rings
Couples LOVE showing off their new bling and it’s fun to photograph too. I enjoy getting a little creative to offer them a shot for their wedding album with a difference.
Guests having fun
Obviously! This one is perfect for when they hit the dance floor or when they’re laughing during speeches. Everything from the sassy to the downright silly is welcomed by couples. These serve as an easy reminder of how much fun was had on their wedding day.
ANYTHING else you wish
Yes, I mean anything. If you have something in your head that you’d like your photographer to capture, ask them. No matter how insignificant it may seem, our job is always to make sure you are 100 percent happy with your wedding photos.
