Rachel & Craig’s July wedding was definitely a day with a difference and I loved capturing every second of it!
Both the ceremony and reception took place in the stunning Cooling Castle Barn, which, combined with the gorgeous weather definitely made for some picture-perfect photos.
The bridal preparations took place in the beautiful bridal suite at Cooling Castle’s accommodation, allowing me to snap some shots before the wedding. There were a few tears when Rachel put on her dress, which wasn’t surprising as she made a beautiful bride.
The hair and make-up was done by the girls themselves allowing them to share a special moment together before the ceremony.
Rachel wanted a perfect momentum of her wedding day and so opted for handmade silk wedding flowers, which looked every bit as good as the real thing! I couldn’t tell the difference at all.
The bridesmaids were a vision in mint green, which really popped in their wedding photos.
Craig had his own momentum of the day in the form of specially engraved cufflinks, which included his initials.
The main feature of the grounds at a Cooling Castle Barn wedding is the turrets, sign post and carriage cart, which certainly added an interesting backdrop to their photos.
A great way to calm the nerves whilst your waiting for the bride to arrive, the best man took the opportunity to grab a quick group selfie with Craig and the groomsmen.
I love the natural lighting next to the registry signing table. The glow just adds to the romance of this special day.
We made the most of the good weather, taking group photos outdoors on the manicured lawns. The guests were really impressed with the venue.
Not something you see everyday, Rachel and her bridesmaids opted for All Star Converse shoes with ‘Bridesmaid’ and the wedding date engraved on them.
I managed to steel a few moments with Rachel and Craig for some alone time away from their guests for a while. This afforded me the time to get some great photos of them together around the stunning grounds.
The iconic turrets and sign post really set off a Cooling Castle Barn wedding and have to be included in any wedding photos there.
The barn was transformed, filled with fairy lights and lashings of mint green, for a magical setting.
The day was filled with fun and laughter and an entertaining speech from the best man. Some tears were even shed when Craig took to the floor to share his speech.
The couple both run their own martial arts / self defence school and the quirky cake topper paid homage to this.
Another great Cooling Castle Barn wedding and one I’m proud to have been invited to photograph. It was a pleasure spending the day with new Mr & Mrs Harrington, their families and friends.
