My final wedding of 2017 was Helen and Andy’s stunning day at Stoke by Nayland Golf and Country Club. It was the perfect way to round off a busy (and great!) year of weddings.
Taking place a couple of days before New Year’s Eve, their twilight ceremony took place at 5pm, so with limited lighting, I enjoyed the challenge of getting more creative with their photos.
Ahead of the ceremony, I joined the bridal party to capture a few preparation shots. Helen endured a sleepless night, spending the night up with her daughter Alice who had been ill, and yet looked calm and composed about the day ahead.
By the time I visited Andy, who was fashionably late, the light had almost disappeared. His pocket watch was a gift from Helen. His best man, and brother, Matt stood by his side.
The ceremony took place in the stunning Garden Room at Stoke by Nayland Golf and Country Club, which was filled with the happy couple’s family and friends, who wished them well on the next stage of their lives together.
With darkness descending upon us in the evening, the group photos were captured indoors, which looked great, nonetheless.
Following the ceremony, we headed to the The Gainsborough Room, which was nicely laid out for their wedding breakfast. The room was finished to perfection! Table toppers included large sweet bowls, and jugs of punch were available for the adults, while the children enjoyed a non-alcoholic version.
A buffet style wedding breakfast allowed guests to help themselves to an array of delicious dishes, enjoyed by all.
Speeches were delivered by Helen’s dad, Andy and best man Matt, which definitely resonated with guests.
We finished the evening off with a creative photo outside their venue, before guests were left to dance the night away.
Congratulations Helen and Andy. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness together.
