Gavin and Lesley’s wedding took place in September at the Langdon Hills Golf Club, in a beautiful ceremony surrounded by their families and closest friends.
For me, I love photographing a wedding where I actually know either the bride or groom, and as a lucky coincidence, it turns out that I knew groom Gavin from a former job, over 16 years ago! That, combined with the fact that it was an intimate wedding, I was in my element.
Their venue of choice, Langdon Hills Golf Club is a mere five minutes from my house and as I’ve shot many beautiful weddings there, I knew it would be a day to remember.
Gavin and Lesley said their vows on a Monday in front of an intimate gathering of family and friends. The happy couple marked the occasion with photos, including preparations, the service and group photos.
Gavin’s best man was Jeremy, while Lesley’s brother Terry gave her away. The happy couple’s grandchildren served as flower girl and pageboy.
Of course, there were also a few personal photos of Lesley and Gavin in the gorgeous surroundings of the venue, with the crisp autumnal weather providing the perfect backdrop.
Neutral ivory tones were carried throughout the wedding elements, including the cake and flowers, to give the day a distinctly classy feel. The flowers were beautifully crafted by Gavin’s mum, offering a personal touch to their day. Lesley’s dress also complemented the theme perfectly.
I wish the happy couple many amazing years together and I’m delighted to have been a part of such a wonderful day.
