I loved photographing Barbara & Ade’s engagement session in the stunning gardens at Hylands House, so I knew we would get some amazing shots at their London pre-wedding session too.
The happy couple will wed this November at their local church, before heading to Hylands House to host their reception.
For their London pre-wedding session, we opted for a totally different setting and style in order to give them a unique set of photos.
With this in mind, we headed to East London and used the city’s streets and landmarks as a distinct backdrops for their photos.
This shot is one of my favourites. I love how the metal rope sculpture frames the couple and London’s iconic Shard is visible in the background.
Tower Bridge is an unmissable landmark that just had to feature in their photos.
I love the glamorous, almost Great Gatsby vibe of Barbara’s dress and jewellery. She ordered the dress especially for their pre-wedding session.
Amongst all the buildings and alleyways, nature resides in the concrete jungle. I found this tree, which offered some welcome shade, whilst also providing a perfect frame for a stunning shot.
What I love about their photos is that while London is a busy city, there’s a real sense of calmness in their photos and their personalities effortlessly shone through.
As this is our second shoot together, I noticed how Barbara and Ade relaxed into their photos. We tried out various different poses, so that we could showcase something different. I have no doubt that on their wedding day, this practice will be beautifully reflected in their wedding album.
St. Katherine’s Dock had us dreaming of luxury! The setting offered that real holiday feeling as the sun shone down and the temperature started to rise nicely. I especially love the reflection of the trees on the water.
I’m really looking forward to Barbara and Ade’s wedding in just a couple of months.
