It was definitely a scenario of style in the city at Noel and Katrina’s stunning wedding this May! The happy couple were married during an intimate ceremony at London’s South Kensington Number 16 Hotel, surrounded by their closest family and friends.
There’s just something so romantic and personal about a small wedding, which makes me love photographing it. With a small selection of guests at Noel and Katrina’s wedding, it was an unforgettable day.
The wedding morning preparations kicked off at Katrina’s room, which was a relaxed affair. I took the opportunity to capture some shots of her wedding day details, while Katrina, her hair and makeup artist, sister and two nieces got ready for the day ahead.
With the bridal prep well underway, I ventured down to see Noel who was every bit as calm. We had plenty of time for some pre-wedding photos, with Noel’s watch – a gift from Katrina – serving as the perfect finishing touch to his stunning suit.
As the ceremony started, Katrina’s two nieces scattered petals along the aisle, which was lovely! Katrina then arrived and was escorted up the aisle by her dad. The gorgeous, crisp spring day ensured the ceremony could take place outdoors in the venue’s picturesque garden.
Their son Max didn’t fancy being left out of the action and insisted that he take pride of place at the ceremony too.
Following the ceremony, group photos got underway in the quaint garden. With a smaller wedding, we were able to carry these out quickly, leaving guests to enjoy the day.
The modern Number 16 Hotel afforded plenty of photo opportunities both inside and out. And so I took the opportunity to steal the bride and groom away for a few moments together.
The couple allowed their fun personalities to shine through their finishing touches. I loved the comical cake topper, so we took some photos before sitting down for their wedding breakfast.
No wedding party is complete without photo booth props and the guests loved getting in on the action!
Congratulations Noel and Katrina! I wish you every happiness together.
