I could tell as soon as I met Mandy and Nick back in 2014 at a local Essex wedding fair that there is something truly special about this couple. Following our brief exchange at the fair, we got together for a more personal meeting to discuss the finer details of their wedding plans. Although it was over two years ago since we met, we have remained in constant contact as the plans for their day fell into place. I was also more than happy to assist on things such as a schedule for timings and planning photos for the day.
Ahead of their wedding this month, we got together for a pre-wedding session at Hylands House and Gardens. The day began with misty showers but thankfully when we arrived at our location, the showers cleared, allowing us just enough time for the shoot, before heavy showers arrived.
Having known this couple for two years now, I am really excited about shooting their wedding at the Fennes in Essex. Mandy has a thriving jewellery business (which is reflected in a few of their pre-wedding session photos), and she was telling me about her plans for adding a very personal touch to their special day. I love a wedding with a difference and I’m looking forward to seeing the wonderful creations that she has spent months on in preparation for their wedding day.
Hylands House and Gardens is a firm favourite of mine for adding a beautiful backdrop to photos, particularly during the summer months when it is in full bloom. The area is greatly versatile with many backdrops, which offers a diverse collection of images.
