It was a Turkey Mill Wedding that won’t be soon forgotten. These two arrived to a damp and dewy morning and I know more than a few of us were concerned about the possibility of further rain throughout the day. But not today – not for these two. They brought so much warmth and affection that no cloud dared hang over their heads for long.
The Bride and her bridal party prepared for the ceremony at home before heading to the Orangery – Turkey Mill. Ben met me on the grounds before the ceremony and wedding breakfast for a solo portrait session while we waited for the bridal arrival.
Natalie’s gorgeous smile, Ben’s infectious laugh and their son Ashley’s magnetic charm made my job just way too easy.
After a damp start, the skies cleared and the sun came out, warming to almost the hottest day of the year! The summer sunshine weather allowed everyone to relax and enjoy the afternoon. After the ceremony, whilst I was working on the group photos, the rest of the guests were enjoying one of the finest days of the year!Bride and Groom’s Turkey Mill Wedding – The Orangery Maidstone Kent with Kent Wedding Photographer Marc Godfree Once the group shots were done, I snuck off with the newly wedded Mr. & Mrs. Rose on a tour of the grounds for some special outdoor portraits.
Next was the wedding breakfast (wedding breakfasts are delicious!) which were followed by speeches from Ben, Natalie’s Dad and the Best Man with lots of laughter and of course the presentation of gifts for both parents, Bridesmaids and Best Men. Shortly afterwards we stole away for a few more minutes to grab more bride and groom photos before beginning the evening’s festivities.
I photograph weddings for a living, and I love it, so I am perhaps biased on the topic, but this is my blog, so I am going to just come right out and say it. This one was a lot of fun – see for yourself!
This little lady killer had such great poise and presence. I look forward to shooting his wedding in a few years!
